Under the design direction of Donald Buttress, Architect and Surveyor Emeritus of the Fabric of Westminster Abbey in London, England, Cathedraltown is an artful blend of old world splendour and new world advantages. This exceptional town of approximately 1,500 residences will surround the Cathedral of the Transfiguration and its piazza. Reminiscent of classic European towns, the piazza will have shops, cafes and seasonal outdoor markets allowing residents to take full advantage of all the natural amenities.
Formal gardens, a Belvedere and waterside terraces encompass the views north while an elegant bridge will lead to Cathedraltown’s residential areas with a Park Square and a Crescent Park. An Arboretum surrounds the existing Heritage Apple Orchard. Not only will this Arboretum be an aesthetic enhancement to Cathedraltown, but will also serve as a rare educational facility for the community at large. Pathways leading through the Arboretum will allow the visitor to view a collection of the both rare and native species.
